Orbital, the first onchain privacy layer in Orbio's orbit

Built on Orbio

Why the auditor agent runs through Orbio, what zero data retention means for your source, and how to pay a review with your own Orbio credits.

Orbital is the first onchain privacy layer for Orbio. Orbio gives agents one key to every model and routes inference only to zero-data-retention (ZDR) endpoints. Orbital puts a private audit on top of it.

Why Orbio

A private audit has one weak point: the model that reads the source. Orbital deletes the source tree after every review, but the source still travels to a model provider for one call. Orbio closes that gap. It relays the request to the model it names, unchanged, and only through endpoints that do not retain prompts or responses. Orbio itself keeps billing metadata, never the prompt.

So the source exists in three places, for the time of one review: the worker's temporary directory, the request in flight, and the model's working memory. None of them keeps it.

How the agent calls Orbio

The worker sends the review as one chat completion to https://api.orbio.so/api/v1 with the model anthropic/claude-opus-5 and high reasoning effort. The system prompt is the same one the direct path uses: describe, never quote, end with a verdict.

The seal records which model wrote the review and the route it took. On the seal page it reads, for example, Written by anthropic/claude-opus-5 via Orbio, zero data retention.

Pay with your Orbio credits

Holders of $ORBIO earn inference credits from the token's fees. On Eclipse my code, paste your Orbio key in Pay the agent with your Orbio credits. The key:

  • is sent with the job to the worker, used for the one review call, and cleared from memory right after;
  • is never written to the database, the logs or the seal;
  • must start with sk-orbio-, or it is ignored.

If your key has no balance or Orbio fails, the review falls back to the protocol's own Orbio account, then to a direct call to the model provider, so a review is never lost. The seal says which one wrote it.

What Orbio does not change

The review is still an opinion, signed by the auditor and labelled as one. Running it through Orbio changes who can see the source, not how much the review can be trusted. Only the eight checks are meant to be proven.
